Being a Member

The AIBGA was established as a Growers’ Organization structured for membership and embracing qualified banana/plantain growers. AIBGA was built on the principle of group structure: District Branches and Area Councils. Our members are growers of banana/plantain in rural Jamaica predominately St. Mary, Portland, St. Thomas, St. Catherine, Clarendon and St. James. Based on AIBGA’s policies, the legal owner or owners of banana/plantain farms in Jamaica with at least an acre of bananas under production may apply to become a member of AIBGA. Current membership in the AIBGA is more than 1400.
